Former US first lady Michelle Obama is one lucky woman who has the pleasure to see her mom, Marian Shields Robinson, witness her success from the day she was born to rising as a world icon.
Posting on her Instagram account, the mother of two celebrated her mom's birthday in a sweet and loving message.
She showered her mother with praises, saying she is a wise woman and one who many would turn to for steady guidance.
"Happy birthday, Mom! Anyone who knows my mom knows that she is the one to turn to for steady guidance, a wise perspective, and, of course, a wisecrack or two," wrote the former first lady.

Further into the post, Michelle expressed her gratitude, saying she was so lucky to grow up with such a mom.
"I have been so lucky to grow up with all of this and more. I love you," she added.
