Explore the hottest stories out of Mzansi from the past week:
Social media users have bullied DJ Maphorisa into fixing his kitchen. The Amapiano music producer was recently dragged for having a small kitchen after he posted a picture of it online.
It seems he took the trolling seriously because he posted a new picture of a better-looking kitchen. When DJ Maphorisa posted an innocent picture of himself in his kitchen, he did not expect Mzansi social media users to tear him apart.
The thing on everyone's mind was the fact that he had such a small kitchen for someone with so much wealth, but it didn't stop there, fans focused in on the smaller details, dirty cupboards and the lack of a dishwasher.
Others were concerned that the music producer didn't have even one SMEG product. The bullying obviously got to Phori because he took to social media on Tuesday afternoon, 28 July to post his new kitchen and to say that he's fixed it.
Master KG definitely came to slay in 2020. The star's hit song, Jerusalema, was a shoe-in for one of Mzansi's top five songs last year.
However, no one could have predicted that it would become a worldwide hit as the rest of the world loosens Covid-19 restrictions and gets back to clubbing. As a result of this phenomenon, the spotlight is firmly on Master KG.
The star has decided to let fans know a little more about himself and explain a few things - including why he always says "Wanitwa mos" on every track.
Master KG explained that the phrase is his signature. KG said, although he realises it irritates some people, he won't stop saying it as it works for him Master KG tweeted,
"I'm always told to stop shouting 'Master Master KG, Wanitwa mos' on my songs.' I know it can be annoying, but it works for me hlee (please)."
Lerato 'Zah' Moloi has paid a moving tribute to her late mother, veteran actress Candy Moloi, 67. Zah went through emotions when she spoke at her mother's memorial service on Thursday.
Candy, who played the role of Vho-Makhadzi on Muvhango, passed away in a Pretoria hospital on Tuesday after a long battle with cancer.
Zah, who is an actress on Rhythm City, broke down when she spoke about her mother during the ceremony.
The service was held under strict protocols due to the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. Only close friends and family attended it.
Zah said her mother "fought like a trooper" throughout her life but in the end she was really tired of fighting. Her funeral will take place on Sunday.
"What pains me the most is she never got that break. She was always fighting through life, working through life."
Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za reported that Warren Masemola and his wife have welcomed a bundle of joy.
The dad took to social media to post a photo at the hospital with his wife and baby boy by his side.
