Bobby Shmurda's fans cannot wait for the rapper to be released from prison. The US rapper's release date has been circulated on social media, especially Twitter.
His fans took to the micro-blogging app and shared that the star's parole hearing was scheduled for Tuesday, 4 August and he might be released on 5 August.
Bobby was sentenced in 2016 after pleading guilty on several charges such as conspiracy to murder, weapons possession and reckless endangerment. He was initially sentenced to seven years but this was later reduced to five years after receiving credit for the two years he served while awaiting his trial.
Rap-up.com reports that the Brooklyn rapper’s mother has provided an update on her son’s parole hearing. In a statement to The Shade Room, Leslie Pollard revealed that a hearing is scheduled for 18 August.
Revolt.tv also reported that Bobby's parole hearing is set for the week of 18 August.
“The parole hearing is scheduled for August 18th. We [are] very confident that things will go well and as always we know God will see us through— he always does,” Shmurda’s mom told The Shade Room.

In other news, Briefly.co.za reported that US rapper Birdman has announced that he is ready to retire from rapping. The Cash Money Records CEO revealed this during an interview with Lil Wayne on the Young Money Radio season finale on Friday, 17 July.
Birdman, born Bryan Williams, said he plans to release one last farewell project before he exits the game. The 51-year-old star expressed interest in the possibility of doing a sequel to him and Wayne's acclaimed 2006 collaborative effort titled Like Father, Like Son.
"I’m done rapping. Rapping ain't for me no more. I'm done with that. I like to make rappers. That’s what I do. I want [Like Father, Like Son 2] to be my farewell thing. I want to go out how I came in. Talking real rap."
