Pearl Thusi just can't seem to catch a break on social media. The actress was recently dragged by Mzansi after she posted a gorgeous picture. The reason seemed to be that she quoted a song which talks about brown skin.

The song Brown Skin Girl by Beyoncé was made popular after the singer revealed that it was dedicated to dark-skinned black women.

Some social media users believe that Pearl Thusi does not qualify as she has lighter skin. She was roasted for trying to include herself in a narrative that was not about her.

Poor Pearl looked stunning in the said photo, clad in a teeny tiny bikini, showing off her gorgeous body. It's unfortunate that the caption has led to division among social media users. Twitter user Zoemkoena said:

"You're not brown sis. Use some lyrics from songs about light-skinned girls."

"Beyoncé was talking about dark-skinned women, it's evident in the song as well. If it's not as clear to you, look it up there's an article where she clarifies everything."
