- Tellaman's fans were hoping that the R 'n B singer would walk away with at least one of the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) for which he was nominated
- The Whipped hit-maker was nominated for Music Video Of The year and Record Of The Year
- When he got neither, Tellaman took to social media to say that he doubts any R 'n B artist will ever win an award in SA
Tellaman's fans were excited that the singer was up for two awards at this year's SAMAs - Music Video Of The Year and Record Of The Year. They were disappointed when Tellaman got neither.
However, the Whipped singer reassured his followers that he wasn't expecting to win anyway.
He tweeted, "R 'n B artists will never win (any) award in SA. Let it go."
Fans were still disappointed on Tella's behalf.
@Celumusa said, "I was really disappointed today, Tella."
@cbookay_ wrote, "(I) really hoped it would be yours, Tella."
@Juniormzi1 commented, "Damn, that's true. Lapho ngigcwele kanjan nge R 'n B (And I really love R 'n B)."
This year's SAMAs have come under fire for failing to nominate Master KG's hit song, Jerusalema, in any of its categories. Yesterday, Briefly.co.za reported that AKA also complained that it had way too many nominees in its Video Of The Year category. Briefly.co.za gathered that there are 20 videos competing for the award.
In other news, Briefly.co.za reported that Itu Khune is absolutely smitten with his adorable six-month-old daughter.
The Kaizer Chiefs goalie also enjoys showing his little princess off on social media. Itu is definitely a super-proud dad and husband.
The star is certainly in his element when he's in the roles of daddy and hubby. He recently posted a cute video of his little girl bouncing around on her bed.
