Jeanne-Marie Magdellen is a female carpenter who has won the admiration of many with her rare craft as a woman shining in a field which men have the most power and influence.
The young lady is among very few women who have taken the roles of carpenters in spite of the challenges females in the male-dominated industry face.
These daunting set-backs have been deepened by the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus pandemic which compelled the closure of schools and other services.

Amid the unseen chaos, Magdellen took the opportunity to pursue her childhood dream.
In a post on social media, Magdellen revealed that as schools remained closed for about three months, she ''took time to learn basic carpentry with a workshop not far from [her] in Koforidua.''
The budding female carpenter noted that she is very proud of herself. According to Magdellen, it is the ''hardest yet most productive decision she has made!''
She reveals that she goes to the workshop on weekends to follow through with her passion. Magdellen aspires to create an excellent and comfortable building space for young growing adults.
Magdellen has motivated the youth, especially women, with her bold decision to take on a career in a so-called 'man's world'.
