Da King Of African Rap, famously known as Kwesta, is celebrating his birthday today. The rapper is turning 32 years of age. He was born on 11 August, 1988. The star has achieved a lot in the Mzansi music industry since he became a professional recording artist about 10 years ago.

1. Real name and place of birth
The star's real name is Senzo Mfundo Vilakazi. He was born in Katlehong, a township which is also known as "K1". He is professionally known as Kwesta.
2. Early rap life
Kwesta developed an interest in poetry during his high school years. He dropped out of high school at the age of 16 to pursue his music career. In 2003, Kwesta, then known as Quest, and some friends formed a group called Ghetto Fellaz, which later became known as The Juvenylz with an additional member.
3. Debut album
He dropped his debut studio album titled Special Rekwest in September 2010. He was 22 years at the time. The first single to the project was called Stomp and it did very well in terms of airplay.

4. Record label
Kwesta is currently signed to his own independent media company known as Rap Lyf. The co-founder of the label is rapper Kid X. Kwesta released his third studio album DaKAR II on 26 February 2016 under the label.

In 2017, Kwesta won six awards at the 23rd edition of the South African Music Awards. He bagged SAMRO Highest Airplay Of The Year for Ngud' featuring Cassper Nyovest, SAMPRA Highest Airplay of the Year for Ngud', Best Rap Album for DaKAR II, Best Male Artist of the Year, Best Album tf The Year for Da KAR II, and Best Collaboration for Ngud’.
Kwesta married his gorgeous wife Yolanda Mvelase in a stunning white wedding on 22 March, 2019. Kwesta and Yolanda have a daughter together named Khai Asemahle Bulelwa Vilakazi. She was born on October 13, 2012.
The couple is expecting their second child. Briefly.co.za recently learnt that Kwesta and Yolanda are ready for their family of three to become a family of four.
They couldn’t be happier that they have a new member on the way. Their little princess is about to become a big sister.
Kwesta and Yolanda are both hands-on parents who would go to the ends of the earth for their little family.
