Lockdown has taken a lot away from South Africa in terms of jobs and the economy but what it has given people time to pursue other projects.
Mashudu Modau (@Mashstartup) started a thread on Twitter where he asked people to share what they had built, designed or created during lockdown.
"Can we make a thread of things we built, designed or created during lockdown?"
He started it off with a platform he developed where entrepreneurs could access resources for starting and growing their businesses.

Soon the thread had over hundreds of retweets and comments from social media users:

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Facebook group #ImStaying is making waves once again after group member RenneckProvide RoseUniquemunhle Mrkhoza shared a compilation of pictures with a brief caption proudly showing off his two jobs. The #ImStaying group's intent is to focus on the people, beauty and positivity in South Africa and they did just that with this post.

Mrkhoza shared pictures of him in his nurse's uniform followed by images of him doing manual labour as a builder.

He captioned the images with:
"I'm a professional nurse but I don't limit my abilities, take care of your talents and they will take good care of you!!!"
In other news, A man, Ayanda Mbatha, could not be prouder of his girlfriend, Thando Nkabinde. The proud boyfriend revealed his bae is one intelligent young lady.
In a post, which was shared by Facebook group Varsity World, Mbatha revealed Nkabinde managed to graduate during lockdown.
However, it is not her first or even second degree - Nkabinde secured her third degree at the Vaal University of Technology.
