The coronavirus has wreaked havoc in nearly every aspect of all of our lives. Unfortunately, school kids were not left unaffected by the pandemic, having had to take long breaks from their classrooms over the last few months.

Thankfully though many amazing people have taken it upon themselves to try and ease the burden of corona by doing all sorts of good deeds in the lives of others.

One such person is a kind old lady, Tannie Ingrid, who had taken to helping her neighbours' son with his Afrikaans homework - something she herself was unfortunately not good at. In a Facebook post, Reneilwe Maenetja shared that her neighbour had been assisting her son since he started school and her boy is now in Grade 3.

"Today, I found myself reflecting about how Tannie Ingrid, my neighbour, has actively taken the role of helping my son with his school work. During lockdown, they would sit by the fence, she would help him with the school work.
"My son is in Afrikaans medium and my Afrikaans is not that good. He is now in Graad 3, she has been doing this since he started school. Every single day, she dedicates time to ensure that his school work is done. #ImStaying because life has taught me that race is not a barrier. Ek waardeer alles jy doen vir my seuntjie."

"This is me & my handsome African husband. He is my pride and joy. We see no colour, we see #1. It has never changed and will never change. We met in a informal settlement called Site 5 in the South Peninsula, my best friend lived there and I use to visit her.
"And there I met my best friend and soulmate. Long story short, he stole my heart within a few seconds and nothing has changed, we not have two beautiful children and have been married for nearly a year this weekend. I'm a proud African woman!"
