- EFF leader Julius Malema is confident that the ANC will recall President Jacob Zuma before the end of the year
- Malema believes the ANC is already discussing the matter which is conditioned to Zuma and his family receiving immunity from state capture prosecution
- Malema said the EFF would take Zuma to court if the ANC granted him immunity from state capture allegations
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has once again made a political prediction. This time Malema predicts that the African National Congress (ANC) would recall President Jacob Zuma before the end of 2018.
Malema believes the ANC is already discussing the matter which he says is probably a condition to Zuma and his family receiving immunity from prosecution in connection with allegations of state capture.
Malema has warned that the EFF would take Zuma to court if the ANC gave him immunity. He said: “If they decide to give Zuma immunity, we will take them to court again and we will win. Our law doesn't recognize giving people immunity. We will charge him and he will be arrested.”
Briefly.co.za discovered that Malema has over the years gained a reputation for his political predictions. He successfully predicted that Cyril Ramaphosa would become the next president of the ANC, he predicted that Pravin Gordhan would be fired 2 days before the infamous cabinet reshuffle and he predicted that Malusi Gigaba would be appointed in Gordhan’s place.
Malema said he had been working hard to correct the mistake he made in Polokwane in 2007 when he supported Zuma’s rise to the top of the ANC. Malema said Ramaphosa would not be able to unify the ANC, he said: “the ANC is sick to the core, placing a healthy head on a sick body will only make the head sick.”
Malema added that two of the ANC’s top 6 leaders were in the pockets of the Gupta families and that Ramaphosa would have to start his fight there.
