England international Ben Chilwell becomes Frank Lampard's third summer signing following his £50 million move from Leicester City to Chelsea.
The 23-year-old who has been on the Blues' radar all through the season penned a five-year deal with the London club.
He will join early arrivals Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner at the club and will earn up to £190,000-per-week if he passes medical.
Daily Mail reveals that the Stamford Bridge outfit will examine the heel injury that forced him out of the remainder of the 2019-20 season.
The publication reports that the club legend has now spent around £136m in signing players after his fir season as a Premier League manager.
Although, the former Derby County handler is not done signing players this window with Kai Havertz expected to join the Blues before the start of the new season.
While they continue to shop for a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga who was not convincing in their last campaign.

In other news, Briefly.co.za reported that new Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman reportedly aggravated Lionel Messi's decision to leave the club after the Dutchman told him his "privileges are over".
