A lot of the music sold today is marketed via music videos which show musicians in ever decreasing amounts of clothing.

The industry is forcing young girls to use their bodies to sell music, but some musicians are having none of it.

The following musicians have refused to sell their music by objectifying themselves and have succeeded on pure talent. The fact that these musicians have accomplished so much so fast without using their bodies is a testament to their fantastic talent.

1. Amanda Black

Amanda Benedicta Antony, more commonly known and Amanda Black shot to success in 2016 with her hit single "Amazulu".

This Zimbabwean born singer moved with her family to New Zealand. In 2011 she decided to study in South Africa at the Walter Sisulu University in East London. The rest is history as she has been on the up and up.

3. Zahara

Bulelwa Mkutukana aka Zahara started singing when she was just 6-years-old, her debut single released in 2011 has over 5 million views on Youtube, enough said this girl has got talent.

Her name means 'love' and she obviously is loved by her fans, she is a multi-platinum and an 11-times South African Music Award-winning Afro-Soul vocalist.

5. Msaki

Some have called her South Africa's Tracy Chapman and she has taken the country by storm. The fame does not seem to phase her as she takes it in her stride.
