AKA has been relatively quiet about new music up until now. Announcing that his new album is complete has fans thinking he might have been waiting to drop at the same time as Cassper Nyovest.
The rivalry in the hip hop game has always been strong. Rappers love to have beef with one another so that there is something for them to rap about and so that it keeps fans loyal and entertained – AKA and Cassper are no different.
Briefly.co.za learnt that AKA just announced that his new album is officially complete. Fans are buzzing and wondering when Supa Mega is going to make the big drop. We feel some competition taking place over here!
Cassper’s new album Any Minute Now is set to drop on Friday, 11 September and fans feel the time couldn’t go faster. Cassper is one artist who really puts his all into everything he does. Fans can’t help but feel that AKA kept his on the DL so that he could spark some sort of heat with Cassper’s release.
Taking to social media with a series of posts, AKA explained that his TV channel was being upgraded, that he’s got new merch coming, and oh, and that he has a whole entire new album that is 100% complete! Supa Mega dropped this one hot!
If AKA drops his album around the time that Cassper does, best believe there is going to be some shade thrown.

The Zimbali hitmaker, who is preparing to drop his much-anticipated album titled Paradise 2, is not known for praising other Mzansi rappers, hence many were surprised by his recent tweet. Reece captioned his post:
"Please treat this like a mural... not just any mural @Shane_Eagle| YELLOW."
