Loyiso Madinga named Trevor Noah's "African Correspondent" for The Daily Show

On Thursday, Loyiso Madinga had been named Trevor Noah’s "African correspondent" on his Comedy Central show- The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.

This could possibly be one of the biggest milestones in the South African comedian’s career, despite him being no stranger to the international stage.

Madinga has taken part in the Montreux Comedy Festival in Switzerland and Busan Comedy Festival in Korea.

Now, he would be making his Daily Show debut on Thursday on DStv’s channel 122, where he would be giving a field report at the 54th ANC conference, Huff Post reported.

Briefly.co.za gathered Madinga made the announcement of his inclusion on the Daily Show in a hilarious video shared on Comedy Central’s Twitter account.

A few hours after his announcement video, Comedy Central shared piece of his live interview on Touch HD online.

Famous South Africans were quick to congratulate the comedian on his new job in The Daily Show with Trevor Noah (and Loyiso Madinga).
