Nasty C and AKA have taken the top position of most-streamed rappers on Spotify since it launched in South Africa. This has definitely helped both rapper’s careers even though they were at the top of their game before the streaming service hit Mzansi.

Spotify launched in SA back in 2014 and caused a wave in the music industry. It has given many artists a platform to grow their careers and have their music listened to by more people than they would have ever reached without it.

Briefly.co.za Spotify just released an updated list of the most streamed artists in Mzansi and AKA and Nasty C are still sitting up there at the top. There ain’t no levelling down, only upward from here.

The list hit social media recently and while AKA may have dropped a little, he’s still in the top three. Nasty C took first place, DJ Black Coffee second place and Supa Mega third place.

Sjava, Prince Kaybee, Milindo The Vocalist, Jeremy Loops, Goldfish, SnotKop and Fokofpolisiekar, are the other Mzansi artist who made up the other seven spots on the top ten list.

Briefly.co.za previously reported that Nasty C and Big Sean have confirmed that they are working together on a collaborative single. Nasty C's album Zulu Man With Some Power was super successful and was the biggest album of August.

Big Sean and Nasty C have both released music recently but neither of them has worked on a track together. Fans of Big Sean were disappointed that he didn't feature on Nasty C's latest album. Big Sean released his album on 4 September, Detroit 2.

When Big Sean was left off Nasty C's album people thought there might be some beef between the two artists but they have now confirmed a collaboration and are chatting on social media.
