Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that Nasty C and AKA have taken the top position of most-streamed rappers on Spotify since it launched in South Africa. This has definitely helped both rapper’s careers even though they were at the top of their game before the streaming service hit Mzansi.

Spotify launched in SA back in 2014 and caused a wave in the music industry. It has given many artists a platform to grow their careers and have their music listened to by more people than they would have ever reached without it.

Spotify just released an updated list of the most-streamed artists in Mzansi and AKA and Nasty C are still sitting up there at the top.

There ain’t no levelling down, only upward from here. The list hit social media recently and while AKA may have dropped a little, he’s still in the top three. Nasty C took first place, DJ Black Coffee second place and Supa Mega third place.

Sjava, Prince Kaybee, Milindo The Vocalist, Jeremy Loops, Goldfish, SnotKop and Fokofpolisiekar are the other Mzansi artists who made up the remaining seven spots on the top 10 list.
