Skeem Saam actress Makgofe Moagi has opened up about the hardships she went through when she was pregnant with her twins. The stunner, who plays the character of Charity on the popular SABC1 soapie, has shared her near-death experience with her followers on Instagram.
The star was admitted in ICU in 2018 where she had to fight for her life and that of her unborn twins. Makgofe captioned her post:
"Nothing fazes me in this world. I almost died in 2018 in ICU. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to everyone, I’m pregnant. I remember telling the doctors and radiographers to check if I’m not pregnant and they all dismissed that as drugged-up patient talk.
"But deep down in my soul I knew I was. My babies went through that hell with me, my two angels by my side, God is truly amazing. I’m humbled, in awe, feeling blessed and loved beyond measure."
The star, who gave birth to twins Cayden and Gabby in her late 30s, shared that she is grateful to God and her ancestors for saving her life. She has also previously shared that she suffered with endometriosis, according to TimesLIVE.
"I count my blessings, I’m content that my life is flowing in the way that Badimo had intended it to be. I’m not rushing or competing with anyone - my life my race their pace.
"My twin angels are #1, Ke re #one!! I surrendered my life to the Higher powers, my ICU experience showed me that no-one has everything figured out. Never, impossible. That is God, Badimo & Mangeloi’s job, may Their will continue to be done in my life and my loved ones!"
The actress' fans took to her comment section to wish her twins a happy birthday and to praise God for saving her life.
"Happiest birthday to the twins. May they continue to bring you joy and happiness mommy."

In other news, Briefly.co.za reported that Theo Kgosinkwe of Mafikizolo fame has shared his views on the calls for government to reopen the entertainment industry amid the Covid-19 Level 2 lockdown.
The musician took to Instagram to join scores of Mzansi entertainers who are demanding that government must open the industry because they are financially struggling. The #VulaPresident movement recently closed the N3 freeway in Durban to call for the reopening of their industry. Musicians such as DJ Tira, Dladla Mshunqisi and many others participated in the protest.
They want events to be opened with at least 70% attendance. Theo, who recently got married, posted the movement's slogan and captioned his post:
"Abanye ba vulile kusele thina (the others have opened we're the only ones left). The entertainment industry is feeling the strain."
