- Another local has taken to social media to share his "cooking skills"
- While one has a clear view of the meaty lunch he was preparing, Mzansi thought he was just trying to show off his expensive items
- His post was at the receiving end of hundreds of jokes from locals who could not help but roast him for "bragging"
A local man who calls himself "Mr Smeg" took to Twitter to share a picture of the lunch that he was preparing. The picture, which shows a healthy portion of meat in a pan on a stove, was clearly missed by tweeps who only noticed the expensive SMEG kettle.
Not only that, but his BMW car key as well as his pricey watch can also be spotted in the pictures. Mr Smeg, who is clearly not hiding his flex, was soon at the receiving end of a plethora of roasts from Mzansi tweeps who seemed annoyed at both his Twitter post and the fact that he goes around calling himself Mr Smeg.
The post received over 2 000 likes and over 300 quoted tweets from Twitter users who shared their thoughts on the very weird flex. One user commented that she loved seeing SMEG content being uploaded on the platform.
Here are some of the funny comments made by the annoyed and amused app users.
"I always try, as far as reasonably-possible, to give the benefit of the doubt and maybe this is done tongue-in-cheek but the gag has run it's course and this person has fully subscribed into their own delusions of grandeur, which begs the question - who dates these men?"
"I still can't tell if this guy is the ultimate troll or this just how he be."
"Surely you are cooking the car keys and watch, yhuu hai."
Briefly.co.za previously reported Twitter user, @BobbyLava, took to the app to brag about how his bae wakes up every morning to make him some lunch for work. In his tweet, he also included a picture of his lovely lady washing the dishes.
"She wakes up very early to make sure I don't struggle with lunch. #MyMelody," he wrote.
Many of the app's users, however, failed to notice BobbyLava's sweet message and rather started making comments about the very pricey bright red SMEG appliances that were in clear view in the picture.
One user, @Jama_Mhangwana said:
"Your wife is beautiful, your toaster and kettle are classy and both your dishwasher and washing machines are tops. She looks like a hard-working woman who put her career at work and become a wife at home. Let me leave it here."
