A man with the Twitter handle @Danjo_Oosha has said that as Covid-19 pandemic happened, his friends and him used the opportunity to fill a gap in the tech sector.
He gave the names of his friends as Olayinka Olaoye, Liasu Akindele, and Omotayo Isreal. He said that the decision to start the school was borne out of the knowledge that talent could be Africa’s next crude oil.
After they had all pooled funds and experience together, the school called Pediforte Coding Academy became a reality.
Located at Akobo in Ibadan, the man noted that the capital city of Oyo state is fast becoming a tax haven for startups.
Sharing beautiful pictures of the facility, he said that the longtime dream is to have an unconventional university where people come to learn real-life skills.
He added that if everything goes well, they could become a university someday. In his tweets, he also said the academy is starting with six courses.
