Pearl Thusi has taken to social media to slam the Democratic Alliance (DA) for being a "joke". The stunner shared with her fans on Monday, 14 September that she was annoyed after she "landed" on the political party's Twitter page.
Briefly.co.za gathered that the media personality slammed the DA after its views on the ANC government's decision to move statues and monuments of leaders of the apartheid regime to "theme parks". The DA had tweeted on Sunday:
"The DA regards the moving of statues & monuments in a very serious light. It creates serious questions around the ANC government’s intention of nation-building. It is clear that with this Cabinet decision the ANC government feels that SA does not belong to all who lives in it."
The post rubbed the Queen Sono actress the wrong way. She dragged the party for their tweet. The stunner replied to their post:
"Wow. You want to keep celebrating those bastards who violated our people? As if teaching us the wrong history all these years wasn’t enough. I hope basusa neStatue s’kaNyoko (I hope they remove your mother's statue too). Gha!"
Pearl also shaded DA national spokesperson Solly Malatsi. Malatsi was quoted by the DA as saying that "policy battles in the DA are not based on black vs white". Pearl tagged Malatsi and asked if he was also against the moving of the old statues and monuments. Pearl said:
"So the DA finds a black front-liner EVERY TIME to try and scam us. @SollyMalatsi unjani bhuti (how're you)? So Nawe awufuni ama-statue asuswe vele (So, are you also against the moving of the statues)?"
Pearl added that she doesn't know what she wasn't sure what she was doing when she visited the DA's Twitter page.
"The DA is a joke. So annoyed I even landed on their page. Nami bengenzani (What was I doing)."
In other news, Briefly.co.za reported that Ntsiki Mazwai held nothing back when she slammed the Democratic Alliance recently. The poet called the organisation racist for their stance in the ongoing Clicks ethnic hair debacle.
Taking to her favourite site, Twitter, the media personality shared her thoughts about the political party. She posted: "DA is racist." The post blew up with over 900 likes as social media users sharing their thoughts about the political party. Many agreed with Ntsiki and said that given their recent comments, the party was not even trying to hide their ideologies.
Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that Ntsiki Mazwai took to social media to share that she is considering staging a march against Clicks stores over their recent racist advert. The poet said that she would only invite black celebrities who wear their natural hair.
