- Maps Maponyane congratulated Boity with a post on his Instagram page
- The two celebrities celebrated Boity's new fragrance Pink Sapphire at her launch party and it's so fab
- Fans' theories about the pair's relationship were fuelled by photos of two of their favourite stars together
Maps Maponyane took to Instagram yesterday to congratulate Boity Thulo on the release of her new fragrance, Boity Pink Sapphire.
The post that Maps uploaded on Wednesday was of multiple photos taken at the fragrance's launch party. It included a caption where the TV host declared that he "couldn't be prouder" of Boity's accomplishment.
The pair's long-standing friendship has been well-documented and recently had some fans speculating if they had begun dating. Both individuals are famously private with their personal lives.
Maps has since disabled comments on his post, while Boity credited him with taking the video she uploaded to her account. This further fuelled discussion of their potential relationship as one fan noted on Twitter:
@SoDieketsing: "People are only there for Boity and Maps under her pictures for her fragrance launch. No shame in their game."
The pair have denied rumours of romantic entanglement and ZAlebs.com speculates whether Maps starting his caption with "Family Tings" is to reassure fans that he and Boity are no more than supportive friends.
Along those lines, Maps tweeted this morning:
Maps is clearly someone who loves watching his friends flourish and Boity is no exception. She is radiant in the Instagram video with her guests, which include Pearl Thusi and Somizi Mhlongo, as they shout "Boity Pink Sapphire!"
Maps' post showed such support for Boity's new fragrance that he completed it with announcing to his followers that he would be running a competition to win a signed bottle of Pink Sapphire.
In other Boity-related news, Briefly.co.za reported on the boss babe's reaction to her new business venture as Boity Thulo overflowed with gratitude after 1 000 bottles of fragrance were sold.
The celebrity expressed how grateful she was after having initially launched her fragrance on Instagram and being welcomed with the news of a very successful pre-sale.
