Wearing a mask and sanitising our hands when going out in public has become the new norm. However, some people are still having trouble getting used to life under lockdown.
One elderly man had the right idea but his execution failed when he sanitised his hands at a convenience store at a petrol station.
The man can be seen walking into the shop wearing a mask. However, instead of using the sanitation stand in front of him, he took a short left and ended up at the slush puppy machine instead.
The madala can then be seen squeezing out some of the cold slushy mix onto his hands before properly rubbing it in.
A video of the incident was shared on Twitter by social media user Ricky Bynight (@RickyBynight), who captioned it:
"My Fellow South Africans... please remember to sanitise."
In less than a day, the video gathered over 54 000 views and although South Africans tried not to laugh, the could not help it.
Ntokozo Khumalo, @ThatAfriBizGirl, commented:
"I tried to be respectful but a small chuckle came out."
Another tweep, @MolimiOb, wrote:
"He did what he did and it's okay. Slushitize madala, do it."
Social media user, @cindypulukuhlu1, added:
"This so cute, freaking adorable... Old people are a ball of laughter."
"He must have been wondering why it's so cold."
In other news, Briefly.co.za earlier reported a throwback video of Gavin Hunt dancing has gone viral.

One tweep, Sphamandla Shoba, welcomed Hunt to the Amakhosi side with a throwback video of him dancing in the Bidvest Wits locker room.
Shoba simply captioned the clip:
"Gavin Hunt to Kaizer Chiefs.. Lessss Gooooo!"
