Former Polokwane City keeper has made a career change, gospel singing

- Bongani Manavhele has begun recording a gospel album with friend Abedingo Mosiathlaga, an Ajax Cape Town striker

- Bongani is the former goalkeep for Polokwane City but revealed that he has always loved singing

- He met famous gospel singer Rofhiwa who got him into singing gospel, he plans on singing when he retires from soccer

Bongani Manavhele, the former goalkeeper for Polokwane City has made a career change for next season.

Briefly.co.za learned that he has found his voice, in more ways than one, he is in the process of recording a gospel album which will feature his friend Abedingo Mosiathlaga, an Ajax Cape Town striker. Also featuring on the album is famous gospel singer Rofhiwa.

His contract with GladAfrica Championship side TS Sporting ended at the end of June and he is in the process of finding a new team.

The 27-year-old has taken the opportunity to focus on his singing career but still hopes to find a club for next season according to the Daily Sun.

"I have been singing since I was a youngster," said Manavhela.
"My family knew that I have a talent for singing, butg I wanted to focus on football as I love it. When I joined Cape Town All Stars I met Mosiatlhalga, who is also a good singer and we became friends. We spent time after the games singing together and we decided that we needed to release an album one day."

"I then met Rofhiwa and he made me love gospel and we became friends. I'm no working on my album with Rofhiwa and Mosiatlhalga, I think this will be my new career when I retire from soccer."

He still hopes to land a gig at a club before the next season.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Babes Wodumo has taken to social media to share a video of herself recording a gospel song. The Gqom artist recently released her album titled Idandokazi but he is already in the studio recording new music.

Babes shared the video on her verified Instagram account a few hours ago. She captioned the post: "Sizwile." The clip has been viewed over 18 000 times already. Her fans have taken to her comment section to encourage her to sing gospel music. The star can really sing and her fans can't get enough of her voice.

In other news, South African lawyer and businessman, Tim Sukazi has finally secured a PSL team that being Highlands Park. He took shots at the goal in hopes of securing the Bloemfontein Celtic and Bidvest Wits teams earlier this year.

But couldn't hit the back of the net with either team. TS Galaxy's new head coach will be Dan Malesela with Mabhuti Khenyeza set to lead the MultiChoice Diski Challenge team. Under Sukazi's new regime, former Bidvest coach Ashley Makhanya, Esau Mtsweni and Thabo Nthethe are all set to take up positions.
