Menzi Ngubane has taken to social media to celebrate his wife Sikelelwa and thanked her for being there for him in good times and bad and in sickness and in health.

The year was a rocky one with as many up as downs, he scored a massive role in The Queen but then suffered some health issues.

He took the opportunity while celebrating Sikelelwa's birthday to tell the world how amazing she is.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that veteran actor Menzi Ngubane and other cast members of Family Secrets have revealed some of the behind-the-scenes drama on the new SABC1 drama series. The star-studded cast has not been compensated for their work on the new show.

The show made its debut on our small screens on Sunday, 6 September. Ngubane and former Generations (now defunct) cast members Sonia Mbele, Sophie Lichaba and Katlego Danke are some of the big stars who have worked on the new production.

They have revealed that they were not even aware that the programme would premiere this past Sunday. They reportedly said the series was shot a long time ago but they were still waiting to get paid for taking part on the show.

In other new, Menzi Ngubane took to social media to share a picture on Throwback Thursday. Menzi used the opportunity to encourage his followers to cherish every moment of being alive.

This likely comes after the tragic passing of radio veteran Bob Mabena. Ngubane had previously expressed sadness over the loss of his friend.

The actor, who was ill recently, said that Mabena had always checked on him.
