It is no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted South Africans in all aspects of life, with the economic consequences leaving many with reduced or no salary.

Linda is the latest celebrity to have identified something Mzansi needs and rising to the occasion. She tagged her new foundation in her post and said its mission statement is:

"... to empower children and enable them to live with dignity, where they are always safe, nurtured and their voices heard."

The foundation's new Instagram account @lindamtobafoundation states in their bio that they are all about:

"Investing in change through the curation of socio-economic platforms targeted at children and youth, from belly to graduates."

Linda also used the hashtag #LindaCares to accompany the announcement and was congratulated by fans on social media.

Linda joins some of her celebrity peers in this new charitable venture. Most notably Somizi and his husband Mohale Motaung-Mhlongo. They too noticed a need during the lockdown period of 2020 and launched their Somhale Foundation. Their first act was to give Makro vouchers to 400 families in order to start their mission of "mak[ing] this world a better place one person at a time."

In other Linda Mtoba-related news, reported on the excitement at her being featured with her baby on the cover of Bona magazine earlier this year. It was almost too much cuteness to handle as the proud mama posed with her little bundle of joy.
