South Africans have been proudly celebrating Heritage month this September. As Heritage Day approaches, more and more pictures of locals, young and old, have been making its way to our social media pages.

All dressed up and proudly representing their vastly different and distinct traditions and cultures, Mzansi has truly made sure to make this Heritage month one to remember. Adding to all the fun and festivities is proud young mom, Thandokazi Sinesipho Mbanjwa took to Facebook to gush over her little one in traditional attire.

The outfit is generally worn during the Imvunulo dance which is performed by an individual to display their traditional attire. The post was warmly received by Stayers who reacted to the image over 1 000 times at the time of Briefly.co.za's viewing.

Heritage Day: DJ Zinhle shares adorable video of Kairo doing traditional dance

It's Heritage Day and everyone is taking some time to appreciate the many beautiful cultures in Mzansi.

DJ Zinhle and her baby girl Kairo also decided to join in on the festivities. Zinhle shared an adorable video of Kairo doing a Zulu traditional dance.

The adorable footage showed Kairo dressed in traditional attire while doing a Zulu dance known as ukugiya. The dance involves lifting a leg to the rhythm of a beating drum.
