Zari Hassan has posted pictures of herself having a girls' night in with actress Pearl Thusi. The pair looked pyjama party ready as they posed in contrasting black and white gowns.
It comes as no surprise to anyone familiar with Mzansi celebs that when Pearl Thusi posts a pic to her 3.5 million Instagram followers, people talk about it. Even though Pearl didn't post this one, she is in it and fans got more than they bargained for when they got twice as much celebrity status as usual.
It also sent peeps online abuzz because of the rumours circling about Zari Hassan being involved with Cedric Fourie.
Many fans suspected it was a publicity post for Essenix hair as the brand was also tagged in the post, while others speculated that it was an early birthday celebration for Zari. The Ugandan boss babe was born the following day (being September 23rd 1980).
Zari also did the standard reposting to her Instagram story of all the well-wishes she had received or been tagged in thus far.
In other Pearl-related news, the actress recently came under fire after posting a comment under an Instagram photo that Khanyi Mbau had posted about her deceased father.
Many fans jumped on the comment, with some saying it was disrespectful and others calling for Pearl to delete it. The Queen Sono performer was not backing down and clapped back at the peeps. Pearl stated that she had conducted a personal interview very recently with Khanyi herself just before her dad died and that they discussed him "intensely".
This retort was not good enough for the internet though, as over 120 commenters had submitted responses by then. Quite a few did not find Pearl's defence satisfactory and accused her of attempting to steal the limelight and make herself the centre of a situation that did not involve her.
Pearl remained unbothered and replied. "I have Khanyi’s number. I don’t need to perform for you here."
