Black Coffee recently took to social media to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of his foundation. The Black Coffee Foundation was established at a memorable ceremony where the DJ played a 60-hour set.
Black Coffee attempted to set a world record by DJing for 60 hours with just one hand. It was reported that the world record was broken, however the Guinness Book of World Records said it knew nothing of the event.
Regardless of that, the accomplishment was an admirable feat. Black Coffee is unable to use one of his hands because of an accident he suffered as a teenager.
The DJ set took place in Maponya Mall in Soweto. He captioned his throwback post:
"On this day 10 years ago I did a 60-hour DJ set which started midnight and ended Sunday midday, this was for launching Black Coffee Foundation. Grateful for the journey."
Many social media users took to his post and shared positive words with the music producer. Instagram user said:
"I vibe with you Nathi and your foundation since day one. hope to meet you again...When you did the Ballentines add at Maboneng I had a container then and your words still linger when you said, *I admire people like you*."
"I was there at Maponya Mall."
"Give thanks for your vision, I had the opportunity to see you in the flesh after saying I will!!!"
"Wow so proud of you Nathi."
"Epic marathon set! Trailblazer."
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Black Coffee is living his best life. The internationally-renowned DJ took to social media to share a picture of himself chilling by the cool Porto Cervo coast. Porto Cervo is an Italian seaside resort in northern Sardinia. The gorgeous tourist attraction is all about luxury yachts and trendy attractions.
In the picture Black Coffee shared on Instagram, the star is sitting overlooking some yachts floating on crisp blue water.
