Mzansi police are still searching for the woman who allegedly walked out of the Mall of Africa with R4 million stuffed in refuse bags. Bathobile Mlangeni, 29, pulled off the daring theft in July last year. The former security guard allegedly committed the crime at an SBV depot in Midrand.

Bathobile, who was on duty at the time, allegedly used a pair of scissors to cut open two bulk cash bags and then transferred the money into a number of refuse bags. She then placed the bags filled with cash in a trolley and walked out of the centre.

She has been moving from place to place since the heist and Mzansi cops have not been able to catch her yet. Sowetan reports that Bathobile lived a "modest life" for a few months with her friends while police were looking for her. According to a friend, who stayed with Bathobile for a month, she described her as a modest and humble human being.

"She did not have a lot of possessions on her. She did not own extravagant items. She only contributed to groceries during her stay," the friend told the publication.

Another source told the publication that Bathobile had been with her boyfriend for six months before she vanished again this year while he was at work.

Police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo confirmed that they were still searching for the former security guard.

"We are appealing to anyone who might have knowledge of her whereabouts to contact Det-Cpt Oupa Miya on 082-333-0525 or Det-Sgt Tumo Mohutsiwa on 082-822-6794."

Mzansi tweeps have shared mixed reactions to reports that police have not been able to arrest Bathobile after all this time. Most of them seem to admire Bathobile.

In other news, Briefly.co.za reported that DJ Tira recently took to social media to warn Mzansi about a scammer who is pretending to be him. The imposter is using an unknown WhatsApp number to "book" women for upcoming video shoots. The scammer also promises women huge amounts of money for the shoots.

According to one of the screenshots shared by Makoya Bearings, the imposter, who has Tira's snap as his profile pic, promised one lady R4 000 per scene. He said they'll do three scenes which will add up to R12 000.

The caring Thank You Mr DJ hitmaker took to Twitter and captioned his post: "This is not my number." Most tweeps have shared that the imposter might be a human trafficker. The human trafficking topic has been trending on the micro-blogging app for almost all of last week.
