- A video has surfaced online showing a kasi party getting out of hand
- Some of the party-goers can be seen standing and dancing on a construction vehicle while drinking booze
- South Africans were shocked by the footage and they gave their two cents' worth in the comment section
South Africans appear to be taking full advantage of the downgrade to lockdown Level 1 and the lift on the booze ban.
A video clip was shared online showing Saffas living life to the fullest while partying in a township. Although the exact time or date was not given, it was revealed the party took place in Botshabelo.
The video was shared on Twitter by social media user, @Prez_Ndolase, who captioned it:
"Botshabelo, kasi yaka party differently."
In the bizarre video, young people can be seen drinking and dancing on a construction vehicle, which appears to be a front loader.
The clip had many concerned that people are breaking lockdown rules and it could see the country re-instate stricter measures.
Take a look at the video below:
Within hours of being shared on Twitter, the video already gathered over 29 500 views. South Africans found the footage somewhat shocking and hilarious. Briefly.co.za took a look at some of the comments:
Twitter user, @Thabang_Monesi, commented:
"Bathong what level of groove is this?"
Another tweep, @victor14642683, added:
"We are crazy as a country."
Social media user, @Mainy_Mofokeng, wrote:
"Bathong ke botshabelo mo!!! LOL corona has got people living like it's their last day."
It's not the first time a video of this nature went viral. Briefly.co.za previously reported local drunken revellers have once again caught the attention of many after a clip was shared of them enjoying alcohol while dancing and shouting around police officers, who were seemingly trying to contain the large group.
In the video, which was uploaded by Twitter user, Oom Daz, one of the drunk bunch is holding a large bottle of alcohol while climbing into the marked police vehicle and dancing, all while her fellow partiers egg her on.
The video clip received widespread attention from tweeps who were shocked at the behaviour of the youngsters. While many wondered where this groove was taking place, others shared clips of the same girl later being shoved and locked into the police vehicle by a clearly agitated police officer.
