China reveals all villages, towns are connected to train services

- Passenger's coach services are now accessible in most towns and villages in China as of a month ago

- The country added that transportation is one of the ways it wants to solve extreme poverty

- Roads have also been built in several places to connect villages to the cities

China’s Ministry of Transport (MOT) on Tuesday, September 29, said train services are now available in all of the country's eligible townships and villages as of August 2020.

Dai Dongchang, the minister of transport, said that it is a strong part of the government’s plan to solve the problem of poverty through the provision of transportation infrastructure as it gave details on areas that have been covered so far, Xinhua reports.

He said:

“By the end of 2019, China’s rural areas had 4.2 million kilometres of highways, with all eligible townships and administrative villages having access to tarmac and cement roads."

The head of the MOT went further by saying that 96,000 kilometres of roads were built to connect poor villages with cites from 2016 to 2019.

Also done was the improvements made on rural logistics to make doing business easy, especially in the areas of agriculture.

Meanwhile in other tranort news, Briefly.co.za earlier reported that Porsche has been spotted transporting a mattress on its roof and Mzansi is confused. Screenshots of the incident were uploaded to Twitter by well-known parody account @AdvoBarryRoux (Man’s NOT Barry Roux).

Suspicious tweeps began asking if it was a very good Photoshop job when @2020inspiratio1 posted the original video. The 17-second clip has already been viewed over 5 000 times since its upload.
