A Durban-based Master's Degree student has been featured on the USA Maybelline website. 27-year-old Sheinna Mungroo is a Beauty YouTuber and Human Resources Consultant. Mungroo was approached by the brand after she used their products.
In one of many videos on her YouTube channel, Beauty by Sheinna Mungroo, the young student used Maybelline products to do an easy yellow eyeshadow look. This is what caught the eye of Maybelline New York as they commented on her post.
Mungroo is currently featured on the Maybelline New York website under the "Beauty Influencer Shop This look" section. This section explores makeup looks, tutorials, and videos with an array of Maybelline products.
In an interview with DUT, Mungroo said it took about a week for her to appear on Maybelline's site after they contacted her to feature for their marketing and social media campaign. She added:
"I was absolutely thrilled since Maybelline was one of the very first brands I used as a teenager, and to have them feature me on their website was an honour and privilege."
