Growing old and getting to see your children and grandchildren prosper is a luxury many people don't get to live through. This is not the case for a local grandmother, who even gets to see her great-great-grandchildren.
Rodney Owami shared a cute picture of his grandmother to Facebook group, #ImStaying. He said they do not know exactly how old she is, but that she is in her late 90s. Rodney captioned the image:
"This is my granny. She has 11 kids, 55 grandkids, 33 great-grandkids and 12 great-great-grandkids... She is in her late 90s, no one really knows the real age. It's because of her that I still wanna be a Stayer..."
This adorable post has received over 4 000 reactions and almost 400 comments from Stayers wishing Rodney and his grandmother well. Briefly.co.za compiled a few of the comments left for them.

"What does she eat? Wow she looks very young & gorgeous for 90-something."
Prem Reddy said:
"She looks young for 90 years... Great-great-grandkids... She is truly blessed."
Denise Wronsley Barnard added:
"Talk to her. Ask her about her life and those of her family. What was going on in the country that she could remember? Record it all on voice recorder if you can. When she passes on, a whole life's worth of experiences will be lost. Bless her."
In similar news, Briefly.co.za recently reported on a grandmother who celebrated her 100th birthday with her 88 great-grandchildren. Growing old is one thing and growing old as you watch your family expound is amazing.
A woman identified as Julia Lee Kelley has lived through six generations of her family. Kelley, who is from North Carolina, celebrated her 100th birthday over the weekend with her family. The granny has five children, 30 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren, 49 great-great-grandchildren, and one great great-great-grandchild.
As a tradition, her large family holds an annual reunion around this time of year but this time around things were different due to the coronavirus pandemic. This year the reunion was turned into a drive-through celebration of Kelley's 100th birthday.
