DJ Maphorisa has taken to social media to throw shade at Prince Kaybee. Phori took shots at the award-winning music producer after he released an Amapiano track titled Tlogela Piano.
Kaybee trended a while back when he shared his "dislike" for the music genre. Maphorisa, who has been pushing Amapiano since the genre took over the airwaves and dance floors in Mzansi, took to Twitter on Friday, 2 October to take a jibe at Kaybee. Phori wrote:
"So Princess is doing Amapiano? If you can't beat them you might as well join them."
Maphorisa and Kaybee usually throw shade at each other on the micro-blogging app and their fans get excited when the two stars are engaged in a twar. Kaybee, who is very opinionated, has also shaded a lot of celebs since the lockdown began early this year.
Maphorisa's fans flooded his comment section to share their views on his latest post about the Hosh hitmaker. Check out some of their comments below:
"It was about time, he had to join the train."
"I'm listening to the track right now. It's not bad."
"Hate it or love it, Tlogela Piano ya Kaybee is deep in it."
"I love the way you support each other's work, when he/you release an album, y’all come out beefing to push the sales."
In related news, Briefly.co.za reported that Prince Kaybee has revealed that he is no longer interested in working with Mzansi musician Busiswa again. The two stars kept Mzansi on the dance floor with their smash hit Banomoya in 2018 but Kaybee is no longer keen to work with Busiswa.
A tweep recently suggested that Busiswa was the only thing missing on a beat that Kaybee had shared on social media as part of his #PrinceKaybeeProducerChallenge. The award-winning music producer was quick to switch off his beat after Busiswa's name was mentioned. Kaybee replied to the tweep with a huge "NAH".
Another tweep quickly asked Kaybee if he has a good relationship with the SBWL hitmaker. Kaybee, who has been beefing with a lot of Mzansi celebs on the micro-blogging app, said he "isn't sure".
Busiswa apparently rubbed Kaybee the wrong way when she sub-tweeted him last week while he was engaged in a twar with singer and actor Naak Musiq.
