- DJ Maphorisa and DJ Shimza are planning to collaborate on a house music show
- Phori and Shimza have hinted that the show will cater for Shimza's Afro Tech and Amapiano
- Shimza even told Maphorisa that the show will be called Best of Both Worlds
DJ Maphorisa and DJ Shimza play different genres of house music. Phori pushes Amapiano while Shimza is famous for only playing Afro Tech. The two stars have hinted that they might collaborate to do a show that will cater for both the genres.
The Lorch hitmaker took to Twitter recently to ask Shimza to play Amapiano on his set and Shimza jokingly replied that Maphorisa was "harassing" him and it was "annoying".
Their small chat soon turned into a plan for a dope show. Shimza suggested that they do a show together called Best of Both Worlds.
"@DjMaphorisa how about a show and we call it “Best of Both Worlds” you curate a piano line up and I curate the Afro Tech line up? Go nyiwe once! Think about it!"
Madumane waisted no time and agreed that they should collaborate to give Mzansi the best of both worlds when it comes to Afro Tech and Amapiano. He even suggested that Shimza must add Prince Kaybee on his side.
"Let's cav #BestOfBothWorlds sounds dope mara bo Shimi ba nakgana damn. Plus add Princess on your side."
The stars' fans also like the idea. Some even warned that the event should not be used as a competition between Amapiano and Afro Tech. Check some of the comments below:
"@DjMaphorisa if you bring king Kabza and DJ Jaivane we will win this, focus Phori."
"Phori this is a trap don't do it tjo. Imagine: Shimza, Da Capo, Black Coffee, Themba, Lemon & Herb, Enoo Napa and Caiiro. Ohh, the list is endless."
"Believe me on that day people will wait for Piano set, they won't even dance till Piano hits."
"It's going to be an interesting one to see."
The star's fans who had been patiently waiting for him to drop a new project took Twitter to praise him for giving them a dope track just in time for the festive season. They believe that the new joint will dominate dance floors and music charts in December.
The Boss Zonke hitmaker has become popular in Mzansi for just dropping one song that takes over the country. The hashtag #UNGAZINCISHI trended when he released the song just after midnight on Friday, 2 October. He features Focalistic and Tyler ICU on the new offering.
