A truck driver narrowly escaped harm after a group of men attempted to ambush his vehicle. In dashcam footage posted to Twitter by @rsa_trucker, a South African truck driver can be seen enjoying some local music.
11 seconds into the video, the driver exclaims: "Hawe Ma" before something breaks his windows. According to @rsa_trucker, the truck was struck by a hail of bullets. The driver ducked for cover with fear clearly plastered on his face.
A second video, also uploaded by @rsa_trucker, shows the gun-wielding men emerging from the surrounding bushes as the driver takes the truck through a slight bend in the road. The men stand on either side of the road before waiting for the right moment to open fire.
Take a look at the first video showing the truck driver's perspective below:
This is the second video which shows the assailants emerging from the bushes:
It is currently unclear who the driver is, if he suffered any minor injuries or if there is any information on the assailants. In similar news, Briefly.co.za previously reported on an armed robbery in Limpopo which was caught on CCTV footage.

The video shows three armed assailants (one clad in blue and the other two in black) entering the store. Customers move away from the cashier as the assailant in blue approaches the counter with his gun while one assailant stands guard and the other assailant walks behind the counter. The incident occurred in Thohoyandou and it is currently unclear if there were any injuries or how much money was taken from the premises.
