Shekinah's highly-commended event, Rosefest, has had to go digital as a result of the new norm. The second annual Rosefest highlighted the Power To She mantra – it’s all about the ladies.
The second edition of Shekhinah’s Rosefest returned on Sunday, 11 October in partnership with YFM. An event is a music event that is set to spark and elevate female empowerment.
The lit line-up was announced on social media and it is a powerful one. Ami Faku, Boity, Darkie Fiction, Msaki, Busiswa, Holly Rey and Simmy are just a few of the powerful females who made up the list.
Shekinah shared the thought behind this edition, expressing how empowering females was the main goal. Having a full female line-up for the event is just one of the ways in which she aims to do this.
“Rosefest culminates in an amazing music experience, however, the journey of Rosefest has been 8 weeks of creating open discussions with women through conversations like body image, anxiety, gender-based violence, the bias in the workplace and deeper discussions that highlight women whilst educating society.”
Social media was buzzing as the event kicked off. All the celebs who made up the line-up are extremely proud to be a part of something like this.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that it's so wonderful to see women celebrating one another’s achievements! Busiswa recently shared a special moment with Moonchild Sanelly during one of their shows and it was luckily caught on camera.

Busiswa and Moonchild are not only partners in music, they are sisters in life. Mzansi’s Gqom queens made SA super proud with their feature on Beyoncè's The Lion King-inspired album.
Briefly.co.za knows what a special bond Busiswa and Moonchild share. It was back in 2017 that the two became a team when they partnered on a track called Midnight Starring featuring DJ Tira, Maphorisa, Distruction Boyz and Rude Boyz.
