As at the time of writing this report, Tolu's tweet had close to 20,000 likes with over 1,500 retweets and loads of comments.
Below are some people's reactions below:
"She is really fun and welcoming.... Even the girl before you had series of fried chicken from his mum yet the game still cut. So be calming down my dear, we've been there before."
"What if she is frying for you and many others? What if she struggles to enter the video even when he is talking to other girls? It’s a *what if* question I ask..."
"Choi God when see oppression. I don’t even have a boyfriend, never mind a boyfriend mother sending me plantain chips."
"Keep that mother-in-law on your side forever because she is the deal maker, her smile and peace and support and love will bring many wild crazy nights in the bedroom from his son. Any son who sees his mother happy will do the impossible for his woman."
"God bless her. My ex's mum still sends food to me every festive season and few weekends. Everything no be marriage. I'd rather have a sweet illegal relationship for the rest of my life than a sour legalised union."
In other relationship news, Briefly.co.za earlier reported on a couple who have people's hearts smiling. The tear-jerking video clip of a man romantically showing up at his partner's workplace and proposing to her has been shared on Facebook by a user called Carlyn Matthews, who is also a staff member at the same store.
In the heartwarming video, the man can be seen walking into the store bearing flowers. He then asks one of the employees to please call his partner, who is a manager at the outlet.
His clearly taken-aback woman walks out visibly confused and quite shy by the romantic music playing in the background and seeing her man holding flowers, walking towards her.
He is then seen speaking to her for a short while before getting down on his knee and popping the question. All the while the crowd around them becomes bigger and louder, all cheering the couple on and exchanging laughs of excitement.
