Cassper Nyovest's new song Egyptian Cotton recently trended on social media for no particular reason. The smash hit trended from Sunday night until Monday, 12 October on Twitter. Even the rapper didn't know why the track was doing rounds on the micro-blogging app.
The song is taken off the star's recently-released album Any Minute Now. Most Mzansi hip-hop heads are feeling the new jam. The chart-topping 21-track album is one of the Amademoni himaker's most successful albums. Mufasa even had to ask tweeps why the single was trending. Cass wrote:
"Egyptian Cotton also trending. Dintsang kante? What for the can to happen [sic]?"
The musician's fans flooded his comment section to share their opinions on why the track was trending on social media. Check out some of their comments below:

In other music news, Briefly.co.za reported that Mzansi singer Makhadzi dropped two new bangers on Friday, 9 October. The Limpopo-born artist released a dope track titled Murahu featuring Mr Brown and another titled Sugar Sugar featuring Mampintsha. The tracks are part of her upcoming album Kokovha.
The energetic musician's name trended on Twitter when she dropped the two tracks. Her fans praised the star for giving them songs to jam to in December. The Matorokisi hitmaker took to social media to announce that she dropped the smash hits. She also told her fans that her album is now available for pre-order.
The hashtag #Makhadzi trended on Twitter for the whole of Friday. Makhadzi's excited fans took to the micro-blogging app to react to the new songs. Most of them have reckoned that Murahu will be Mzansi's December anthem. One of them @s7fwsa said:
"#Makhadzi couldn't you just wait for December to release the album? Pela some of us we no longer in the mood of going to work because of your album. Entlek on Monday I'm sending my resignation letter."
