- A young South African woman recently shared how a petrol attendant paid for her R200 extra fuel after he had overpoured by accident
- While it was his fault, she still felt blessed at how gracefully he told her not to worry about it, saying he'd pay for it himself
- She took to Facebook to share how grateful she felt for Sam the petrol attendant
A young woman called Nurhaan Constance on Facebook recently shared the touching story of a petrol attendant who practically gifted her with R200 worth of petrol after he had overpoured.
In the Facebook post, Nurhaan explains that the two had been exchanging small-talk when the accident happened. As opposed to the R100 she asked for, Sam, the petrol attendant, poured R300. Unfortunately, Nurhaan only had an R100 in her purse.
Sam did not seem overly bothered by the fact that Nurhaan could not pay for the petrol, telling her that perhaps this was God's way of blessing her. You can read the heartwarming Facebook post below.
"I was at the Engen garage in Rivonia, I had R100 in my bag and that's all I had. I greeted the guy in the picture, he asked me how I was I said I was fine I then proceeded to ask him how his day was he replied saying, God is good.
"While putting petrol in my car he then says I forgot to stop cause we had a conversation so he ended putting almost R300 in my car, I then said oh my goodness my friend and I don't have extra cash on me, he said its fine I will pay for you."
"I replied with a shocked face saying: 'Never my friend, I can't do that to you.' His reply: 'Maybe this is God showing you that he is real'. We do have good people in South Africa. I need to go back for this guy Sam the Man," she gushed in the Facebook post.
She also included a picture of smiling Sam, who received many well-wishes in the form of comments from Facebookers who read Nurhaan's touching Facebook post.
In other great petrol attendant news, Briefly.co.za reported, Lizzy Lizbet has made her fellow South Africans proud after she displayed a rare measure of honesty recently. According to a post made by the local woman in SA group ImStaying, a petrol attendant made the grave mistake of undercharging her for her tank of fuel.
"I asked the petrol attendant to put R600, which he did. To my ignorance, when he gave me the machine to put in my pin, I did so without checking the amount as we were talking me and him."
Lizzy again explained how she went back and paid the outstanding amount, much to the delight of the petrol attendant Thabang, who now greets her happily every time she comes to pour fuel. Her petrol story was met with tons of thumbs-up from Stayers who applauded her for her honest act.
