Basetsana 'Bassie' Kumalo took to Instagram to post herself reading an excerpt from her book. The author decided to share parts of her story as October is Mental health Awareness Month.
Bassie wanted others to know that she too had experienced dark times and depressive episodes and wanted to draw attention to the importance of good mental health. The star wanted any fans or followers to know that they are not alone in their struggles.
The excerpt was in an effort to destigmatize the difficulties that come with mental health and to appeal to the public to be more understanding of the silent battles that others are going through.
The celeb was candid in her caption about making sure that people understand being vulnerable is essential to healing on the journey to recover.
She ended with a suggestion and plea that those who are battling inner demons seek professional help. A list of specialist helplines can be found on the SA Federation for Mental Health website.
Linda Mtoba took to social media to share a special moment with her fans and followers. The proud mother posted a series of photographs of the party she threw for her baby girl.
The set-up was a tea party that was themed as the 100-acre wood from the Winnie-the-Pooh novels. Linda's baby Bean was dressed up as Winnie and surrounded by décor that fit with the theme. From the stunning cake to the table settings and treats, there was nothing not thought of.
The proud mama mentioned in her caption how grateful she was to all those who helped pull the day off and make it such a success.
Linda also made sure her special guests didn't go home empty-handed as she posted a picture of the jam-packed party packs.
