Rasta is back in the trending spotlight after he painted a portrait of Morning Live presenter, Leanne Manas. Leanne has been a staple in most homes for many years as the presenter for one of South Africa's longest-running breakfast shows.
Rasta attempted to paint the presenter and uploaded the painting to Twitter accompanying a birthday wish. Leanne was subtle in her roasting of the artist but still got her point across. She quote tweeted the image of the painting with a caption saying:
"Thank you so much Rasta - I really enjoyed my birthday!! Who’s the lady in the picture? She’s got a very... unique look. Love your work Sir!"
Take a look at Rasta's tweet below:
This was Leanne's response:
Here's what some tweeps had to say about Rasta's "unique" lady:
"Looks like uLeanne the Man. Not Leanne Manas."
"Rasta should be arrested now."
"Look at her again. Breathe in and have another go at it. You can do this, Rasta."
"I think we should have a Rasta paint a Rasta portrait, just wanna see something."
"Rasta is the most disrespectful person alive, I mean wtf did you just do to my childhood crush bro?"
Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported on SA dragging Rasta for painting a portrait of Steve Komphela. Infamous artist Lebani "Rasta" Sirenje has once again managed to make himself a target on social media. This time, the funeral artist showed off his portrait of Steve Komphela - who has recently joined the Mamelodi Sundowns' technical team.
Rasta captioned the post: "Help me welcome @Masandawana's new coach @komphelasteve." The post gathered quite the reaction and tweeps did not think the painting resembled Komphela at all.
Some called on Rasta to change his career while others made jokes about the latest addition to his gallery.
