Orlando Pirates head coach, Josef Zinnbauer, says that Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are the favourites in terms of winning the 2020/21 league title. Zinnbauer made the revelation at a pre-match press conference yesterday.

Pirates are set to face Cape Town City in Saturday’s MTN8 quarter-final at Orlando Stadium. Despite the fact that they have lost Pitso Mosimane and other participants, Sundowns are a top pick and Chiefs are as well.

TimesLive reported that Zinnbauer said:

"For me, it’s Sundowns or Chiefs who are the favourites this season.”

According to GOAL, Zinnbauer insists that Sundowns remain the team to beat even having lost Mosimane. Take a look at some of the responses to GOAL's tweet:

@BingThabi said:

"Like seriously! Then he's not fit to be Orlando Pirates head coach. He's getting players to add numbers or gather silverware. He just ruined my morning."

@Xolaniyamani1 asked:

"What message is he sending to the players? That they must just surrender to Chiefs and Sundowns?"

Staying with soccer news, Briefly.co.za recently reported on Mzansi debating on who should start for Chiefs between Khune and Apkeyi. Kaizer Chiefs are set to play Maritzburg United this Sunday, 18 October and Chiefs fans are divided on who should start as the goalkeeper.

Ace Ncobo believes Khune should be suspended for 'violent conduct'

The toss-up is between veteran soccer player Itumeleng Khune and Daniel Akpeyi. A tweet by @Cellular_ZA sparked the conversation on the social networking site. Cellular spoke about Gavin Hunt "starting his job with Chiefs" this weekend and proceeded to raise the question as who should start.

Fans are divided on the app as some believe Khune is the choice while others think Daniel should be given a shot.
