World-renowned DJ Black Coffee, DJ Tira, Sjava and Somizi, among others, are just some of Mzansi's celebs who attended the launch of the KwaZulu-Natal Entertainment Awards on Thursday, 15 October.

The aim of the awards ceremony is to honour entertainers who've made a name for themselves in KZN and continue to shine everywhere. The prestigious event is expected to take place on 15 December at the Durban ICC.

According to entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, the province's top entertainment achievers will be honoured with glittering trophies and cash prizes. Mphela wrote on Twitter:

AKA hypes fans, shares tweet about creating 6 hits in 4 hours
"Category winners pocket R100 000 and the overall winner R500 000."

DJ Tira took to Instagram to share a snap he took with Black Coffee during the launch of the event. He captioned his post:

"#KZNea. Great initiative."

Adonis wore a black T-shirt and black jeans for the special occasion while his dad dressed in a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

Drake's celebrity friends who have verified Instagram accounts took to his comment section to wish Adonis the happiest of birthdays on the day.
