Video shows ANC member doing the #JohnVuliGateChallenge in Senekal

- A new dance craze has taken over South Africa in the form of the #JohnVuliGateChallenge

- The challenge is so popular, an ANC member decided to do it in Senekal on Friday ahead of the Brendin Horner trial

- South Africans had a lot to say about the clip, with some dragging the comrade while others applauded his moves

On Friday, the EFF and AfriForum were set to show off in Senekal as the two men accused of taking the life of Brendin Horner appeared in court for a second time.

However, the ANC decided to make their own appearance but it didn't look like they were expecting a fight. In fact, one of the comrades was filmed busting a move ahead of the trial - which has made headlines across the country.

In a video, which was shared by Twitter parody account Man's Not Barry Roux, the ANC member shows off his skills in the latest dance challenge, the #JohnVuliGateChallenge.

The post was captioned:

"Banna! The ANC members went to dance to John Vuli Gate and do a #JohnVuliGateChallenge in Senekal. #EFFinSenekal."

The clip left South Africans divided. Some applauded the man's dance moves while other said the time and place was not right for the #JohnVuliGateChallenge.

Twitter user, @HMamps, commented:

"If I thought today was gonna be tense my tensions are eased now. Just another day in SA."

Another tweep, @Vusumuzi23Vusi, added:

"They are tendering for a peace keeping gig, they love money these ones."

Social media user, @Mangena77842465, wrote:

"They dancing because they got the tender... Nxa."

Earlier Briefly.co.za reported two ladies from Clicks recently joined in on the #JohnVuliGateChallenge and South Africans love it. A video of the lovely ladies, dressed in their Clicks uniform, was uploaded to Twitter by @KaygeeMadiba yesterday.

The clip is a mere 14 seconds long but the two ladies are more than capable of showing off their moves in that short space of time.

@KaygeeMadiba's video has been viewed over 160 000 times on the social networking site and the likes are just above 5 000. A lot of tweeps in the replies section are in stitches because a child in red ran behind the ladies then returned to watch.
