Cassper Nyovest has taken to social media to add his voice to an ongoing discussion online. The AMN artist chimed in with a tweet regarding the #PutSouthAfricaFirst chatter.

Cass was of the opinion that the hashtag was rooted in positivity and unifying the country as a whole. He said what he did not approve of was people manipulating the trend to promote their xenophobic views.

The rapper went on to explain that being proud to be South African did not mean being intolerant to people of other nationalities. He rightly pointed out that pride of one's heritage did not mean the hatred of another.

Cass wrote:

"The movement #PutSouthAfricaFirst shouldn't be used to hate anybody else. It should only be used to uplift our own people. Be ware of people who hijack slogans to portray hate and discrimination. You can be proudly South African without being Xenophobic. My 2 cents."

In other Cass-related news, Briefly.co.za recently reported on Cassper mentioning how Black Coffee's lifestyle was an inspiration, not a threat.

Cassper Nyovest saw that DJ Black Coffee was rocking a R7k shirt and he couldn’t help but express his feels. It must be nice to be able to be that boujee and not even notice it. While Black Coffee has recieved a lot of backlash for his casually flashy lifestyle, Cassper seems to be motivated by it. Cassper doesn’t see Black Coffee’s R7k shirt as a threat, he sees it as a goal.

Taking to social media to respond to a post made about Black Coffee’s boujee shirt, Cassper expressed how this is the kind of stuff that motivates him to level up.
