Dawn Thandeka King has had to go back online and post another picture to Instagram to clear up some rumours.
The award-winning actress had previously posted photos from a shoot, with one in particular getting fans into a frenzy. Thandeka's pose and inclusion of her hubby in the photo had fans assuming it was a cryptic hint at a pregnancy announcement.
Thandeka jumped back onto social media to remind her followers not to make assumptions and rush judgments. She said she was simply a "voluptuous, African woman" and that she was indeed expecting great things, but that a baby was not currently on that list.
The star was photographed in front of an orange backdrop as she rocked a snakeskin dress and long hair. The two pictures are clearly from the same photoshoot which followers could now see had nothing to do with maternity and probably involved multiple different shots.
The star did not address how she felt about the pregnancy rumours, but it certainly served as a reminder to followers that assumptions about people's lives and bodies are inadvisable.
Briefly.co.za recently reported on fans assuming that Thandeka was announcing a pregnancy as they immediately took to the comments to congratulate her and her husband.
Mzansi actress Dawn Thandeka King had people wondering if she is expecting. While it is totally rude to just assume things like this, followers jumped to the comments to say congratulations.
Posting a sweet picture of her and hubby to social media, Dawn left heads spinning. With Dawn’s man paying all the attention to her and sitting at belly level, fans thought this was a cryptic confirmation that the couple was going to have a baby.
Dawn hadn't mentioned anything in the comments, but from the latest news, it is clear that both photos were taken at a photoshoot that had multiple angles and poses. Basically, not a maternity shoot.
