It was a big night for Mamelodi Sundowns' Themba Zwane last night at the PSL Awards. The South African footballer walked away with not one but three prestigious awards, making him the big winner of the evening.

The PSL Awards were held virtually on Thursday night from the SuperSport studios in Randburg, Johannesburg. While it may have damped the festivities slightly, soccer players as well as soccer fanatics were excited for their favourite football stars to receive recognition for all their sporting efforts during the last year.

Themba Zwane, who scored 23 goals for his team last season, may have been the most hyped for the evening after walking away with three awards, namely Midfielder of the Season, Player's Player of the Season and Player of the Season.

His big win did not only mean walking away with the awards but it also saw him bag big bucks, R500k to be exact. The soccer star's fans took to social media to celebrate his victory. Read some of their comments below.
