Skeem Saam actress Pebetsi Matlaila who plays Mokgadi Maputla on the soapie has slammed marriage. She took to social media to give her two cents on marriage and what is ironic is that the character she plays on Skeem Saam has marital issues of her own.
The actress revealed on her social media that she has been asking people about the joys of marriage. She also asked what goes into it and what challenges can you expect to find along the journey.
Pebetsi shared that the responses she has been getting for her questions, especially from women, just do not make her happy.
"The marriage counsellors will tell you oh no, nothing is to change from how you were when you were dating and to now. You can keep everything the same way. But ask a black person and they have nothing good to say about marriage," she said.
Pebetsi said that she grew up believing that marriage is a beautiful thing, but now she is not so sure.
She went on to say: "I'm sitting there thinking it was a beautiful thing and growing up in a Christian home I always thought, marriage is godly. God blesses marriage and it's what He wants for two people."
She also shared that her partner wants them to get married but she is still undecided. She said that he has been asking her to marry him for the longest time but she is not sure if she can.
In other news, Briefly.co.za previously reported that Master KG deleted a saucy selfie off social media, claiming it wasn’t him. Master KG’s phone allegedly got hacked and he didn’t realize until the tweet had already done its rounds on social media. Shame, Master KG was not happy when he saw what was posted.
Checking his notifications after having left his phone allegedly unattended, Master KG saw that someone went onto his Twitter and posted a selfie of him with a rather self-consumed caption.
