Lungi Ngidi, the Proteas’ new bowling gem, almost became an instant millionaire when Chennai Super Kings paid over R900 000 for him.
Hashim Amla, Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel missed out on any deals.

Royal Challengers Bangalore paid R20.3 million.
2. Chris Morris
Delhi Daredevils paid R20.3 million.
3. Kagiso Rabada
Another player snapped up by Delhi Daredevils for R7.7 million.
4. David Miller
King XI Punjab paid R5.5 million.
5. Quinton de Kock
Royal Challengers Bangalore took on Quinton de Kock for R5.2 million.
6. Faf du Plessis
Chennai Super Kings paid R3 million.
7. Imran Tahir
Chennai Super Kings paid R1.8 million.
8. JP Duminy
Mumbai Indians got Duminy for R1.8 million.
9. Lungi Ngidi
Another player snapped up by Chennai Super Kings, this time for R925 000.
10. Cameron Delport
Kolkata Knight Riders took Delport for R545 000.
